Master of Arts in Conflict and Peace Studies
     Master of Arts in Conflict and Peace Studies take students to explore a range of issues relating to peacebuilding and conflict resolution, such as theories of conflict and peacebuilding, human rights, religion and peace, mediation, and peace journalism. Students will have a chance to conduct research based on their interests under the supervision of national and international experts and scholars. Students can choose study schemes that suit interest and future career.
     In addition, students can learn from activities outside classroom, such as attending national and international seminars, training, and making visits to exchange views with the communities. Institute for peace studies (IPS) has a wide range of networks with scholars working on peace and conflict nationally and internationally. IPS has a continuing research  collaboration with Uppsala University,  a leading university in peace and conflict resolution. Moreover, IPS also has collaborations on research and academic service with various universities and organizations, namely Australian National University, Universiti Malaya, University College London, Kent University, Peace Resource Collaborative, Mahidol University, etc. Besides, IPS also has broad networks with government and civil society organizations in the Deep South of Thailand.
     This program is suitable for those interested to work in the field of conflict resolution and peacebuilding, for instances, the United Nations, non-governmental organizations and government agencies in the field of development, human rights and peacebuilding, mass media, researcher and university lecturers, and other private sectors.

Career opportunities
     Organizations working on issues related to peacebuilding and conflict resolution often require graduates who have interdisciplinary knowledge, critical thinking, and knowledge both on theories and practices.  IPS graduates have worked in the following agencies and roles:

     - National Human Rights Commission of Thailand
     - The International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol)
     - Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre
     - Pattani Primary Educational Service
     - University staff
     - Independent researcher
     - Civil society workers
